MISSION

National Trust Community Investment Corporation (NTCIC), a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is among the most active tax credit syndicators in America. The organization supports the country’s architectural heritage, community development, and renewable energy initiatives through the provision of and investment in federal and state tax credits.

Over its history, NTCIC has partnered with over 40 corporate investors in HTC, NMTC, ITC & LIHTC transactions. Investment partners for our projects include national and regional banks, insurance companies, and manufacturers. Our development partners include a wide variety of property owners, including for-profit developers, nonprofit organizations, and local governments.

TRACK RECORD

Since its inception in 2000, NTCIC has provided over $2 billion in capital for more than 200 tax credit investment transactions, representing more than $8 billion in total development costs. NTCIC is the historic tax credit industry’s leading advocate for improving and expanding the use of federal and state HTCs, having organized the Historic Tax Credit Coalition in 2009 and led for over a decade.

Affiliates & Subsidiaries

NTCIC is a wholly-owned for-profit affiliate of the National Trust for Historic Preservation (NTHP), the leading nonprofit advocate for historic preservation in the United States. On an annual basis, NTCIC declares dividends to support the National Trust's many preservation-based community development programs and subsidiaries including the National Trust Main Street Center. NTCIC is also the parent company of National Trust Tours and National Trust Insurance Services.
