NTCIC’s Face Book for June Historic Tax Credit Conference

The Institute for Professional and Executive Development (IPED) is scheduled to host their annual Historic Tax Credit Summit in Washington, DC from June 14-15 where NTCIC will be a featured sponsor. The conference will bring historic tax credit (HTC) investors, developers, and practitioners together to network and discuss the political climate with industry leaders over the course of 2 days.

NTCIC will be engaged in multiple conference sessions and activities. Conference attendees are invited to meet NTCIC team members:

Mike Phillips | Public Policy Manager

As Public Policy Manager, Michael specializes in garnering advocacy for the federal Historic Tax Credit nationwide as Congress considers tax reform. Prior to NTCIC Michael was President of Phillips Associates, Inc. where he represented national non-profits, for-profit industry, national governing bodies in sports, and served as a conservation consultant on transportation and historic preservation issues. He also spent 9 years with the National Recreation and Park Association, where he successfully lobbied congress for annual appropriations and permanent funding measures for public lands, urban parks, wildlife, and historic preservation as proposed reinvestment for Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) federal energy revenues.

Kandi Jackson | Senior VP and Managing Director of Acquisitions and Underwriting

As Managing Director, Kandi oversees the Acquisitions and Underwriting Team of NTCIC with a focus on HTC and NMTC investments, which is primarily responsible for finding, underwriting, closing, and initiating the first equity and loan disbursements to a project. She also originates and manages NTCIC’s upper-tier investor relationships. Kandi has more than 20 years of senior level experience in real estate development and finance.

Michael Dubansky | Acquisitions Manager

Based in Ohio, Michael is the first point of contact for prospective deals. He is responsible for origination, underwriting, negotiating, and closing NTCIC’s federal/state Historic Tax Credit (HTC) and NMTC investments. Before rejoining the company in 2010, Michael worked for NTCIC for 2 years as an acquisitions analyst.

Amanda Bloomberg | Acquisitions Manager

Amanda is responsible for identifying, structuring and preliminary underwriting prospective federal/state HTC and NMTC investments. Prior to joining NTCIC, Amanda spent nine years at AEGON USA Realty Advisors in their Community Investment group where most recently she was an associate director originating, structuring and closing LIHTC and HTC transactions.

Matt Prickett | Acquisitions Manager

Based in St. Louis, Matt joins NTCIC as an Acquisitions Manager responsible for identifying, structuring and preliminarily underwriting prospective federal/state HTC and NMTC investments. Matt has fifteen years of experience in community development and real estate finance. Prior to joining NTCIC, Matt spent five years at a national bank as a senior asset manager with primary responsibilities for HTC and NMTC transactions.

Mandi Solomon | Financial Analyst

As Financial Analyst, Mandi assists both the Acquisitions and Project Managers with the due diligence, underwriting and closing process for historic tax credit, new markets tax credit, and private equity investments. Prior to joining NTCIC, Mandi worked for a nonprofit affordable housing developer working on adaptive reuse projects with low income housing and historic preservation tax credits.
